OBSCURE WEAPONS MARKET
I use this market for two different gear exchanges. The King's Set Upgrade helps me work toward the 8% raid join bonus (RJB); the Godfather's Set Exchange lets me change the type of Grand Godfather gear I have.
FROM 5% TO 8% RJB
In the King's Set Upgrade tab, I can trade Grand Kings gear for purple (Elite) Godfather gear. A full Grand Kings set gives me 5% RJB. When I complete the required full Elite Godfather set, my RJB rises to 8%—a gain of 3 percentage points.
The screenshot shows the two equipment slots and the Exchange button. I select the Grand Kings piece I want to trade and the Elite Godfather piece I want to receive.
SWAP GRAND GODFATHER TYPES
In the Godfather's Set Exchange tab, I can exchange a Grand Godfather gear piece for a different type of Grand Godfather gear. Both selection slots are for the exchange; this is separate from upgrading Grand Kings gear to Elite Godfather gear.
GEAR STATS CHANGE
I compare all six gear types before I trade Grand Kings gear for Purple Godfather gear. I can equip three Accessories at once, plus one each of Melee, Shoes, Pants, Coat, and Ranged. That makes eight equipped gear pieces in total.
The tables below compare King Gold, GF Purple, and GF Gold. The trade can reduce my ATK and HP while giving me different stats, so I check the piece I am exchanging before I confirm it.

If you're a bigger player who regularly raids bigger targets, I recommend swapping only your Gold Kings Melee and Pants for Purple Godfather gear. Across those two pieces, you'll lose 2 ATK and 8 HP, but gain movement speed and training speed. If you're a filler who only raids smaller mansions and you already have a full Grand Kings set, I recommend trading it for a full Purple Godfather set to gain the extra 3% RJB.
WORTH IT IN THE LONG RUN
I highly recommend trading in the pieces that fit your role. Purple Godfather gear brings useful new bonuses, including training speed and movement speed, that help your account develop. The extra RJB from a full set also helps our faction in battles. Keep the ATK and HP tradeoff in mind, but I think the exchange is worth it in the long run.
